April 2020 marks the fiftieth anniverary of the Apollo XIII mission to the moon. In one of the most famous "successful failures" in aerospace history, the three astronauts were saved by a combination of improvisation, teamwork and resilience. As these are also values key to scouting we've created this special badge challenge to mark the anniversary.
Details are in the pack (linked below), but in summary we'll be adding a new challenge to the pack over each of the next eight days tracking the mission from pre-launch (April 10th) through to the successful recovery (April 17th). This is open to ALL sections.
Designed to allow completion from home, the challenges can be done either day by day as they're sent out, or you can integrate them into your overall program any way that works for your group / section.
